I am waiting with baited breath to be able to pre-order the first edition signed copy from pjsm. I'm well excited that it is a vimes book, I can imagine with him finding murders to deal with he will contact the watch back home via clacks and may even request littlebottom and angua for there special skills to solve the crime. I have to say my favourite book of all time is nightwatch

This is going to sound snarky, but it's really not meant to be as it was a mistake that I used to make before it was pointed out to me. The phrase is 'bated breath' not 'baited breath'.

I hope you don't mind me pointing that out to the two of you? :)

Perhaps they like to suck maggots? ;)
So, what's the alternative? 'Bated' sounds like they have the breath of someone stabbed to death by a homicidal transvestite with mommy issues.*

*Okay, I couldn't resist a Psycho reference. Please don't kill me, or set Pooh on me.

The cabbage one (Sto Plains) where they grow cabbages was eazy peazy lemon squeezy.

Bag of money, simple Mercantile/business undertaking and Ankh Morpork especially.

I just 'knew'. They 'spoke to me'.

I could take umbrage at your insistence I knew nothing of the detail behind the cards, but Umbrage didn't want to be taken!
