well, i'm on google+ and as it is in beta, lemme put it like this:

In this beta state it is safer and more comfortable to handle than facebook is atm. but everyone their own

Saw the bit from WHEELER'S again... am I the only one who had to imagine the scene that starts with 'And Vimes died' (It's not spoiler, it's in the snippet reading) as a Monty-Python-esc cut-out animation? with all the stuff crumbling etc?

Earlier tonight Sir Terry Pratchett announced via his Twitter page that they will be listing a book proof of Snuff tomorrow with all the proceeds going to Secret World Wildlife Rescue. Terry & Rob planned to do it tonight but decided it was too late so check back tomorrow for more detail

Thanks I know of a few accounts on G+ where people use a pseudonym as opposed to their real names. I know some of them were pulled (the more obvious fake names) while others remain and there has been quite a bit of controversy around the whole name thing.

The book proof of Snuff has officially been listed on eBay, this book is not due out till the 13th October but you can get an early copy now, the copy comes signed by the man himself Sir Terry Pratchett and is rubber stamped. Who knows, I was shocked as I watched it from 0.00 and it went to £200 in less then 10 minutes and the bid with 6 days left is at £225. I have more to spend but will now site and see how it goes.

Oh I'd read it, I own, and have read, much more expensive books than this one. I'm not going to buy it though as it is way over what a proof of Snuff is actually worth.

No it's a sale for charity so it will make more than normal, also you can offset it against your income tax as a charitable donation which for a 40% taxpayer makes a big difference
