Just read in Discworld Monthly that in Snuff Sam Jr. is already 6 years old...
There really isn't that much happening on the Disc anymore it seems :( Makes me sad...

Well things have been getting more and more organised. The Witches have all got a firm hold on their patches and can beat of any threat. The Wizards aren't warring or assassinating each other. Ankh Morpork runs like clockwork thanks to the efforts of Vimes, Vetinari and Moist. Dwarfs and Trolls are at peace and Rincewind is enjoying the boredom he worked so hard for.

6 years with nothing untoward happening without being nipped in the bud seems perfectly reasonable.

^ Competitions in which the answer can be easily accessed by looking at the first few pages of a book or using wiki aren't worth entering because the odds aren't very good and it's practically first to the post wins.

As for shaking up the Discworld there's two things which I reckon could shake it up good and proper:
- Carrot having a disagreement with Vetinari's government and Vetinari not conceding.
- The Low King coming out as the Low Queen

Aside from those 2 a book set in Howondaland would be interesting as it's one of the least explored parts of the Disc with most of our info about it coming from footnotes. I smell another Rincewind adventure. Even though he briefly passed through there it wasn't long enough for us to get a proper sense of the place

I read the sneak peek, it feels like the first page(s) of the book so no real spoilers in it.

Looks quite unedited though, the following has no spoilers but is taken from the text directly:
Wwith her behind him
towards two weeksa fortnight
Vimes toreHe opened the package

If I bought a 920 pound book and it contained these kinds of errors all through it, I'd demand my money back :)

At the very leasst there's a strong suggestion that Vimes will be instrumental in integrating goblins into general society. I hope we et to see Oats in the flesh
