Having had a proof copy of UA, I can assure you that it isn't the final copy. I do have an American ARC of Thud though and the audiobook follows that rather than the finished copy. I think Stephen Briggs must have read from that. :)

Well, I've pre-ordered my copy of Snuff. The bookstore I go to is already getting plenty of copies, but one will be put aside for moi.

Really? I never knew that. Are there huge differences between the AARC/audio book version and the finished book?

Not huge differences, but I was listening to Thud! as an audiobook and happened to pick up the UK copy to read along with it. I honestly can't remember what the differences were now, but they were certainly there.

Ayup Pip... Ayup All...

Hi Guys, sorry its been so long...

I thought 'Snuff' was out today for some reason, and was checking to see which of you Lucky Boys and Girls were enjoying it... But you aren't so I can't  'Twas funny as I was wondering why there wasn't any ad stuff in Smiths. Now I know.

Hope you're all well ! 'M on a 'Hobbit Movie' kick with the folks there, ATMO, so Terrys taken a back seat. And what with Stephen Donaldson too ! LOL.

Ayup MC...

You're Right there Mate. Mind you once Snuff's out, we'll have a beanfeast of Conversation no doubt. Thing is, as I said, I've been re-reading Tolkien, Catching up with three MONSTER books by Mr Donaldson, and have been quite busy in the real world too. But having said all that, I'm ready for a dose of Mr Vimes again, so am in An....tici...pa..tion

I just wanna add that I've avoided the excerpt of the text that's out there, and that I'm sure the Books Blurb will tell me all I need to know...

I've pre-ordered both the book and the audio book from Amazon. I like to listen while I crochet in bed! Hope I don't miss anything from the book.
I like Stephen Briggs readings best of all but Snuff is read by Tony Robinson, also good but not my first choice.

Welcome to the site, PeggyOgg! I think I know you from the Cunning Artificer's site. It's good to see you here.

Tony Robinson is doing the abridged version, but as you can see here, Stephen Briggs is doing the unabridged version. ;)

Yes, Tony it's me.
Thanks for the info. the price difference is incredible so I think I will have to stick with the abridged version but I've ordered the book too so I will read first then listen later.
Hope you and the missus are both fine?

Hehe, I have just pre-ordered a hardback hand signed by Terry himself. First edition, firs printing, can't wait to get my hands on it. Terry is one of my two all time favorite writers.
