Naw, ain't that much of a Vimes person to begin with. Not to menton the last time I bought a book without checking on reviews first and borrowing it from the library beforehand....I purchased UA....

Well this is annoying - I pre-ordered my copy from Amazon.co.uk some months ago. Bearing in mind it's due for release on the 13th, my copy is due to ship out on the 14th with an estimated delivery date of the 17th.

Argh!
Welcome back Turtles!

I've got my copy pre-ordered, but I'm not going to stress on it too much. I'm still reading Hogfather and I need to finish that first. ;)

Same here, I'm still in the middle of Wyrd Sisters, so I'll finish that first. Once I actually have Snuff in my hands though I'll probably develop some kind of super-fast speed-reading skill like Johnny 5 so I can get on to it.

If you buy it on Kindle, it will be on your device within seconds of your purchase! ;)

Sorry Bouncy - it's just not the same as actually owning a physical book. o_O I want something to show for my money.

Don't buy a kindle copy. Books feel good and can be shared.

What reviews? Where?
amazon.com
I'm going to be nice about this. Did you actually read the reviews or just look at the stars. In terms of the book all the reviews on amazon.com (all ten of them) are really good . Most the negative starred reviews are because of the poor quality of the Kindle version which seems to have a lot of errors (take not Bouncy). Even then basing your decision on a book of anauthor your a fan of on 10 reviews out within 24 hours of its release just seems stupid. Either a) MAke your own mind up by reading it yourself or b) wait til theres decent reviews any which you will actually read from people who have taken time to give a balanced view

I haven't read the book yet, so this 1-star is for the Kindle version. Note to Terry and the publisher: come down hard on Amazon. They're making you look bad.

The Table of Contents lists "Begin Reading" as a section. No chapters are listed, just "Begin Reading". It's genuinely confusing. Did they seriously just put that to instruct us to begin reading there? On that page it says "10", "Begin Reading", and then "T" all alone on a line followed by "he goblin experience...." What's the "10" for? I understand books like to start chapters sometimes with a big letter, but you can't just float it off on another line.

Read the other reviews. There are lots of white-space typos.

I strongly suggest people return the Kindle version on principle. There's no excuse for this.
Bloody hell.

I've just passed that onto the publishers!!

One of those admits to merely skimming the book . I'd still rather make my own judgement. One guy thinks he's lost it all together since Unseen academicals but he obviously missed out on Nation and I Shall wear Midnight then which are both fantastic books and Terry at his best . If you buy a book, expect it to be bad, rush through it in a few hours well your going to see the worst of it. From experience DW books shouldn't be rushed. You miss the subtlety that way.
