I know, was just hoping to grab it in a shop nearby. I never bought it yesterday cause I thought I would be able to get it for a fiver in Tesco today.

Still havnt finished UA, I found it a bit of a slog and gave up, hope this is a return to form!

Well I have reviewed it here: http://bricksandbooks.co.uk/2011/review-snuff/

This is the first ever book I have reviewed o_O
.This is a spoiler, do not read if you haven't already read Snuff

I enjoyed reading your review as well.
I mostly agree with what you wrote too.
I am not really into the City Watch type of books, though I have read them all, but this one was different.
I liked the book, it was much, much better than UU.
I loved young Sam's obsession with poo.
The trip down Old Treachery was a very exciting part.
I don't like analysing book content either, I read a book because I want to be entertained & this one did entertain me.
Yes, it was predictable that Stratford would get his just deserts, but I didn't realise how untill it happened that Willikins would be the one. I thought Stratford would escape again.

This seems to be the spoiler-free topic, so I'll ask it here. Can anyone tell me what the general opinion of the book is, without spoilers of course? I mean, we haven't seen Vimes in a while. Is it different than the other Watch books?

Well I enjoyed it. I wouldn't call it a Watch book though, I'd say it was a Vimes book in the same way that Fifth Elephant and Thud! were Vimes books. Well worth a read. ;)

A thought came to me this afternoon whilst cleaning around.

How old is Fred Colon?

He was supposed to retire somewhere around Feet of Clay but six or seven years later he's still there...!
And the rest! Young Sam is six in Snuff and he wasn't even born until Nightwatch - just to give some idea of the timeline. ;)
