Hi there,
Does anyone recognize this joke from one of Terry Pratchett's books?

"So this SEO copywriter walks into a bar, grill, pub, public house, Irish bar, bartender, drinks, beer, wine, liquor...."

I was told that it was written by Terry Pratchett and can be found in one of his books. Does anyone know which one?

I do some work with new media and when I first read this joke I nearly spit out my coffee as I was laughing so hard. I would love to find the book and the story where Terry wrote this.

Doesn't this refer to Twoflower, guys?
If it is Twoflower, than it's from the Color of Magic, the first DW novel, which was also made into a movie... Twoflower's a tourist, the first the Discworld has ever seen, and he uses his tourist-guide to communicate with people and... wait, I'll search the passage for you...

"I wish to be directed to an hotel, tavern, lodging house, inn, hospice, caravanserai," he said.
"What, all of them?" said Hugh, taken aback.
"?" said the stranger.

and

"Fooood," said the stranger. "Yes. Cutlet, hash chop, stew, ragout, fricassee, mince, collops, souffle, dumpling, blancmange, sorbet, gruel, sausage, not to have a sausage, beans, without a hear, kickshaws, jelly, jam. Giblets." He beamed at Broadman.

mC's nailed the reference there. It seems that the joke has something in common with the particular passage quoted by mC, but I wouldn't say that Terry wrote the joke. Maybe someone based the joke on the passage though.

Of course, if you don't know what an SEO copywriter is, the joke falls a bit flat.

Have you read The Truth? I work for a newspaper, and so I spent much of the book cracking up at all the industry jokes Pratchett dropped into it.

I don't recognize the quote as from any of his books, but it's mighty clever.
