Bernard Pearson (aka The Cunning Artificer) has announced the date for The Spring Fling 2011 in Wincanton, Somerset.

Some of you may not know that Wincanton is officially twinned with Ankh-Morpork, has it's own Consulate (and Discworld Shoppe) and regularly holds meet ups for fans of Terry Pratchett.

If you are thinking of going, you'll need to find accommodation as it quickly becomes unavailable.

Yes, I think it is an old one. I was having trouble finding a decent sized picture of the new sign. But here's one.

Are you going to this event, Archer?

Bickie? Bickie!
Bickaxe is frequently known as Bickie, and I've met him on several occasions. People probably call him Bickie as much as his real name.
Whenever I'm around DW fans, I've never responded to my real name until they've said it several times, each louder than the previous

When I had a social life (I spend most of my time at home, when not at work), I was often referred to as Bouncy or Bounce.

I still sign some Christmas Cards in that name(s).

FINALLY! A thread were I can ask: HOW is Sjoerd pronounced?

My name gets me in trouble... I have friends in real life who I have met off the net who call me Del. I have one sister who calls me Del (D'Lora) BUT I also have another sister who's name is Del (Her real name is apostrophised and she hated it so changed her name to Del as a teen... I have more rights to Del dammit!)

SO I get D'Lora mostly, Del from some including my sister UNLESS I am in the company of my other sister Del when I am called D'Lora by all... except those who have met me as Del and who refuse to change even if my sister Del is there ... o_O

   Bickie    I mena BICKAXE!!!!! sounds so... kill maim tough..... but BICKIE?  tea and scones with your gran on a sunday afternoon
