Okay, okay... you win.

I only have a flat, so alas, I have to make do with less space! O dear! The tragedy of it all! How can I carry on living! *grabs a dagger from Juliet Montague and stabs himself in the chest*

Nah, don't worry - 'tis a retractable stage knife. It can't possibly hurt me. :p

And speaking of strange, weird, and wonderful reference books...

Napoleon's Privates - 2,500 years of history unzipped by Tony Perrottet. (Not as fun as it sounds)

Orgy Planner Wanted by Vicki Leon - an examination of jobs and occupations in ancient Rome and Greece. Good fun.

Military Misdemeanours by Terry Crowdy. Also good fun. ;)

Lost States by Michael Trinklein - subtitled "True Stories of Texlahoma, Transylvania, and Other States That Never Made It". A bit short, but also good fun. ;) For instance, were you aware that, just after World War II, there was a plan for England to become a state in the USA? It never made it far (obviously). ;)

...and so on... it's late and I'd like some sleep.... *yawn*

I'm in two minds about the X-Treme Latin book. On the one hand I like Latin, but on the other hand, I'm afraid it might be gimmicky. What's your view, Q?
It is, admittedly, a bit gimmicky. But frankly, how many books teach you how to say 'go f*** yourself', 'I'm dumb and I vote', or 'big car, little d**k' in Latin?

BTW, one more to add to my list: Heston at Home by Heston Blumenthal.
