This one is v. important when applied to any book of Terry's you don't rate much (so yes, this applies as much to Pyramids as it does to Making Money or anything with Moist in it....)

“It’s down to texture….The plot is not necessarily important if you get the texture right.”
This is where we all may be getting taste confused with deconstructive critique

I'd never heard of the computer games.

Any good?

(I have XP so no good for my computer).
I used to have Discworld 2 for my Playstation and it was quite good fun - if somewhat infuriating. Eric Idle does the voice of Rincewind and you have to move him around various locations solving some really difficult puzzles.

This scene from the first game will give you an idea.

Sometime back, around 1993/4, when I was in my first year at university one of my friends e-mailed Terry (at daemon :) . These were the early days of the web; Netscape, the first web browser, had only just come out. We were still using text only interfaces like Kermit and Gopher back then) about a rumoured Discworld game. If I remember correctly he wrote something along the lines of, "I hear you're bringing out a Compact Disk of Discworld?"
Amazingly, he got a reply:
Not so much compact, more bijou  .
