Hello eveyone :)

Hello Terry Sir. I know from your documentries that you go on the forums. :)

Im reallly hoping (asking) for a Rincewind (By far the best character), squel; from discworld 2!, I was a bit upset that you got David Jason to play him (great actor), but Eric Idle is the absolote man for the job.

So basically what im asking is... Do you think there will be a Discworld 3? If so... Eric Idle MUST play Rincewind...

Btw my abso fave games of all time were the Discworld games... :)

Thanks,
Tom Cooper.

Hi Tom, welcome to the site. :)

We have no evidence that Terry visits this site - he's never posted here or even registered.

I know what you mean about Eric Idle, but do you realise that he is almost the same age as David Jason?

I don't think that Sir David did a bad job and I'm sure a lot of people watched the movies because he was in it. People who might not have watched anything to do with Discworld otherwise.

As far a "Discworld 3" is concerned. If you are talking about the SKY TV series, then Hogfather was the first, Colour of Magic was the second and the third one has been made - it was Going Postal. The next one is going to be Unseen Academicals. Rincewind was in that particular book, but whether he'll be in this one or not we don't know. :)

I think he's talking about the old Discworld computer games: Discworld, Discworld II: Missing Presumed...!? and Discworld Noir, the first two of which starred Eric Idle voicing Rincewind and had cartoonish graphics.

Those games were great. The first one had puzzles that made as much sense as a chicken colony on the moon, but was still great.

Welcome to the site, Harry!

I only ever played the second one. Some of those puzzles were crazy!

Oh come on. Putting a bra you stole from an old man on a ladder made perfect sense
That's just what you do when you steal a bra from an old man. You put it on a ladder. I mean, that's just common sense.

Every night I have neverending nightmares of "That doesn't work!".

EDIT: @Below: My keyboard started acting up and I somehow didn't notice it.

I'd love a new Discworld point-&-click adventure game. The genre doesn't have enough games as it is, and I need something to do.

Eric Idle might not work for a live-action Rincewind, though. He might, but only if they don't go ahead and give him a white beard like they did with David Jason. Actually, I'm still a bit puzzled why Josh Kirby was so determined on drawing Rincewind with a white beard.

I only played DWII, which was a good adventure in my opinion.
Since I played it in German, I couldn't care less who spoke Rincewind.

I gotta get hold of DWI, I guess, to put that bra on the ladder.
And while I'm at it DW Noir.

Not that I have so much time on my hands...
