Witches Abroad
Reaper Man
Moving Pictures
Unseen Academicals

Yes, you see that right:
Not only is germany getting a new translation, but also new covers. Each crafted lovingly from only the finest examples of free 3D poser program figures and free clipart, lately sprinkled with bits and pieces from the official artworks, which have been echanced through the power of the photoshop-trial version.
Gaze in awe at these masterpieces of coverart.

Honestly, I'd love to start a petition against them, if there'd be any chance of success

I don't really want to imagine what they'll do of the next few books... Next in line is Small Gods, isn't it?

I just wonder why they didn't just use the Black Covers or something similar.
I shall keep you folks updated. Expect the worst

Have you read the books in English?

Your English seems good enough to me for you to 'get' the nuances. Reading them in English means that you get them as they were meant to be read and you get more choice with the covers.

I read most of them in english. Problem is: I am not kidding when I put 'entertainment vacuum of germany' into my location. It is absolutely impossible to get the books in my town, as for some reason my bookstore can't order them. My town has little to nothing when it comes to english books, shop or library (I was surprised to see Snuff in the library, turned out it was a donation by someone who said the library lacks Pratchett).
Would you believe that my hometown is one where british troops are stationed?

So are all the books getting new covers or just those you linked?
I think all of those were the publishing rights in germany are with the 'manhattan' publisher. it's a daughter company of random house I think, yet they don't appear to have the publishing rights (germany is weird) for those books published by the Piper-publisher. That would be the first few (up to moving pictures) and the Science books.
I'm not 100% certain.
The next book in line, as mentioned, should be Small Gods
