Peter Capaldi was in the Pompeii episode of Doctor Who a while back. And I thought and still think that Matt Smith was excellent in the role.

I thought Matt Smith was an excellent Doctor and had big shoes to fill after David Tennent...I think Peter Capaldi will be interesting. He can have quite a bit of menace.
