Still take nuffin for granted. I'll believe it when i'm sitting watching it.
Or acting as an extra alongside Bouncy
This is going to go ahead come hell and high water I think - Narrativia (as you can probably tell by the name) is Terry's company and it's now got ALLthe Discworld titles out there back under his control - they confirmed on stage that accountants and lawyers have been involved in the set-up and hold all licences and permissions to go ahead with it.

Not sure how much is meant to go public yet, but this is a legacy project for Terry, driven by his family and closest friends and colleagues with full control over the project. As much as anything in this life besides Death and Taxes it's certain the Watch series and the creation of a Roundworld Ankh-Morpork will happen, the only question mark is when.

That was my impression too Jan, especially with Rhianna being part of the writing team. They already have some serious heavy-duty firepower involved with this project and there is no lack of ambition being shown (quite the opposite in my opinion).

I had a good long chat with Guy on the last day of convention and this really is a goer. We discussed previous adaptations and where they went wrong and I'm glad to say that he recognised all the faults without specific prompting, he really is immersed in the Discworld and knows how to contact people to check details and get it right without having to botherTerry all the time.

If anyone meets him just say 'No pressure' and watch him curl up and look worried

Oops, didn't notice the year

The info was new to me (13 hr-long eps, post-Snuff setting etc) so I didn't check too hard on the date - I assumed I was pretty up to date on Watch TV news! Apparently not :)

Soooo..... Is this project dead? News seems to have crawled to a halt. I wouldve expected production announcements by now at least. Would be a shame if it has, was looking forward to ole Vimes on screen.

It does seem to have ground to a halt, doesn't it?

(Welcome to the boards, by the way!!).

I've had a look on Twitter and Narrativia have a Twitter account, but have not posted anything yet.

I have dropped a tweet to TP via Twitter and asked if there is any news on The Watch and Good Omens.

Narrativia appears to be dead. Since the announcement of its creation in 2012 there has been

  • A website with just a holding jpg image and no content
A twitter feed which has sent no tweets
A facebook account with no posts from its owners

Much as I would like to think things are going on; after 18 months absolutely nothing has happened and nothing appears to be happening
