I would like to ask you for help with the short story Troll Bridge. I am attempting to translate it into my native language (Slovak) and I have encountered a problem. I cannot understand one sentence towards the end of the story. The sentence is:
"And for three addresses."
I understand the words separately, but together I cannot understand them in the context.
It is what Cohen said as an answer to the question of the horse why he gave his last money to the troll. His first two answers were "For the sake of the way things should be." and "For the sake of things that were."
At first I thought that it was some english idiom or something, but I couldn't find it in any dictionary.
Then I assumed that it somehow involves the three troll's brothers-in-law for the number is identical, but I couldn't figue out what exactly it means. Could you please help me?

The three addresses are of the trolls three brothers-in-law. Cohen wants to fight trolls, so he's off to fight the ones who are changing things (in his eyes, changing things for the worse). Also, these three trolls have loads of treasure, which was all Cohen wanted when he went to fight the troll on Death Bridge.
