Unique copy of Reaper Man?

Hi everyone,

I've got a copy of Reaper Man which has quite a unique feature about it and I was wondering whether anyone knew anything more about it. I've been googling like crazy to try and find more information but I can't seem to find anything useful.

I bought a used copy of the book a while ago now and when I got round to reading it I found that pages 193 to 240 had been replaced by pages 145 to 192. So effectively, I have 2 batches of pages 145 to 192 in the book, but no 193 to 240. Sad to say it took me about a page of reading to realise I was repeating myself and I immediately bought another copy so that I could finish it but I want to know if anyone else has found this copy of the book?

It's the Corgi edition but I'm not sure of the precise print date. The last book listed in the 'other discworld books' section at the start is Night Watch if that gives anyone any clues.

I'm sorry but I don't think it's anything special.Sometimes they do that in books.The printers just printed it twice by mistake.

As Author says, sadly this happens. Far from being unique, it's actually a bit like buying a toaster and finding it doesn't work.

If you bought it from a good store, they should give you a replacement.

He said it was a Used Copy, Tony, so I doubt that he'd get a refund.

I've got one too: Reaper Man, first edition, HB, signed. The pages 129-160 repeat, then jump to 193. I've always wondered how common it was.

I sometimes wonder if a whole print run gets screwed up like this.

Exactly what I've always thought. But how many of them get out and get signed, I wonder?

Though as we all know, Pratchett books that aren't signed are the rarer commodities.

Someone once asked me to get a Pratchett book signed at an event and this person said to be sure I just got it signed "Terry Pratchett". When I asked Terry this he responded: "Shall I write 'dear eBay customer'?"
