Just starting The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. One of the Top 50 corgi books. So far reasonably funny enough to read on bus, train or underground without startling people with your laughter!

Pip, if you like Historicaly correct books Try the Elizabethan stories by SJ Pariss. Excellent, hard to put down, and the Hero is a gem!

I've been reading Kate Mosse's Labyrinth, but can't seem to finish it - everytime I leave it for some time, I lose the plot completely, and then I have to re-read some stuff just to make sense of it.

Been looking for a good easy-read German book, cause I'm trying to learn some German and I don't fancy learning words one by one, so I need to find myself a good novel.

Quite enjoyed Labyrinth and the sequel Sephulucre and her other book The Winter Ghosts.
You do have to keep going to keep track of the book but The Winter Ghosts is a much easier read than the other two.

The second book of the Song of Fire and Ice series.

It's funny, I find him a mediocre writer in many ways, but it's still a ripping yarn and I can't put it down
