I have just finished a small book called The plague in Shakesspeare's time (orig published in 1920's). I can't believe the thickos treated the plague like that! Even the slightly higher IQ'd didn't help much! Anyway... Interesting book with even more interesting copies of the plague laws etc.
Just read "The Black Death" by John Hatcher. Quite a good read but it amazes me that everything seems to have revolved around God.

Great call. John Connolly is brilliant. The Cancer Cowboy is a bit of an odd story but theres a great Charlie Parker Novella in there as well :laugh:

I have tickets to see him do a night of Ghost Stories later on this month :laugh:

Yes he is :cool: :laugh: I quite like the cancer man story - a bit like Stephen King, only much better.
Charlie Parker is always a treat ;)
Sooo glad I decided to reread this book, had forgotten what a good read it is.

I have tickets to see him do a night of Ghost Stories later on this month :laugh:

I will of course. Since he moved back to Dublin from Maine you tend to see him around. Himself and John Boyne hang around my favourite bookshop from time to time. Actually have a signed first edition of Nocturnes and a few of his other books :laugh:

Ayup...

I HAD restarted Equal Rites,but spoiled myself with the Audiobook, and then Listened to Reaper Man... So Book list Empty at the Mo. Started Some Stephen Donaldson but drifted into plot Heaviness... and gave up.
