I thought Robert Jordan had passed away a few years back.
I don't know . . . wouldn't argue.
But "The Wheel of Time" series was (if it's not still him) started by the fella.
Unless you have read or know the series . . . it's one book leads on to the other. So you can't join in somewhere mid on, you have to be in from the begining to know what is going on.
You find yerself getting all set up (book by book) for a big finale and a step forward, and then . . . it's a Basil Brush moment ~ tune in next issue when . . . . . .
Thats ok if some sort of progress is made. But next issue (book), new problems, new issues, even old issues you thought resolved. D'oh !
It's always three steps forwards, one back
To me that started to get like you are extracting the yellow water. You just want me to buy more books, see where this is going.
Star Wars, Star Trek . . . . . even 'arry bloody potter worked that way, but had a resolution.
Sorry RJ . . . not the Wheel of Time. . . . . Not in this readers opinion.
There is a thread elsewhere on the forum of impossible books to film. This one wins, not only hands down, but your whole damned body down !
