Yes, that's the one! I have no memory of reading the first one. I don't know if that's because I didn't or because of my crappy memory. :oops:

Yes, that's the one! I have no memory of reading the first one.
The first one is Wicked Appetite.

About a hundred pages into Half Sick of Shadows (my reading pace has slowed for some reason :rolleyes: )
Not bad actually. Very different to Apocalypse cow but really readable.
The main character is quite likeable and is developing in an interesting way.
The use of language and innocence through a young narrator reminds me of The Book Thief or The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

Tha author is a little over descriptive at the start but gets over this and so far the book is flowing well :laugh:
Definitely not laugh at loud but enjoying it so far :laugh:

Is it Lady Of Shalott themed? 'Half Sick of Shadows' reminds me of the poem...
