I have two copies ordered so I'm sure I'll read one of them

I'm intending to buy one too.

I've read quite a few books since I posted here last. I finally managed to finish Captain Vorpatril's Alliance, and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said about a novel I had high expectations of, Pontypool Changes Everything, which was well below what I thought it would be, or even most other books. I read Ruddy Gore by Kerry Greenwood, and Doctor Who: Zamper by Gareth Roberts, and while below average, they were still entertaining books.

What have I got on the to-read list? Plenty. I have the novelisations of the video game Alan Wake and the Star Trek film, a book called The End of Mr Y, and another called The Natural History of Dragons. And those are just the library books.

I've read Mr Y, and it confuzzled the frak out of me.

Too much quantum whatsits that went right over my head.

They work on a similar theme, you see, about memes and conceptual things. And they're also bloody weird to boot. But they're still good books if you can stand a mind screw.

Just finished The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. Very different than what I expected, but I really enjoyed it. Thought it ended perfectly!

Started Iain Banks the Quarry. Very good so far. Main character is basically a British version of Sheldon Cooper
