What Are You Reading? 3

Yeah, that's what I figured. Well, it's not as if I don't have anything left to read anyway. The last Pratchett I read was The Last Continent, go figure.

Nothing wrong with a big to be read pile.

It's too big and varied here. I buy more books than I read, although I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that

I tend to preorder books up to 6 months ahead so have a constant steam of new books. Its great to have the choices but can get a tad out of control.

The Shining was my personal favourite of all the Stephen King novels. But I also feel that, nice as it is to continue Danny Torrance's story, it wasn't necessary. But I'll have a go anyway. It might be good.

I suppose sometimes an author likes to revisit old characters

It's one of the reasons why I'm single again since January. We had massive fights over "all my junk" (books, vinyl, games, dvd's), and my unwillingness to give much of it up. I'm someone who re-reads, re-watches and re-plays a lot of things in time, and I just can't part with a good book. The bad or mediocre ones, yes, but not the good ones

Thankfully we see eye to eye on keeping books. But she gets annoyed at my buying everything as it makes Christmas and birthdays a pain

She had a list of books coming out that might be good presents for this year and I had all bar two preordered in some form or other.

Same here. I just ask everyone something very specific or just money or something nice to drink these days, haha.

Anyway: still reading Craig Ferguson at the moment, and I have started reading Children of Dune, in English this time (read it in Dutch the first time).

My dad worked for Irish Distillers for years. I was getting £100 whiskeys for ten or twenty quid. Oh the joys .
