Finished the 10th anniversary edition of American Gods and really enjoyed it. I'd forgotten so much of it that it was like reading a brand new book.  I'm now enjoying a book of short stories called The Bread We Eat in Dreams.

I'd like to read that one again, it's a tremendous book.

I've almost finished Harbour by John Ajvide Lindqvist. I've enjoyed it very much.

Next will be Mao's Last Dancer by Li Cunxin which I'm really looking forward to.

Enjoy your books.

I'm most of the way through it now and it's still really good! I've skipped a couple of the poems, only because I'm not a huge fan of poems. I read a story last night that I think is my favorite so far, Twenty Five Facts About Santa Claus. Loved it!

I recently read The Secret Scriptures by Sebastian Barry. What a lovely, lovely, lovely writer!! Generally speaking I'm not that fond of Irish authors, I suppose it's the over-familiar thing, but this guy blew me away.

Once I get the motivation to start reading again, a priority are two stories by Nev Fountain in the Mervyn Stone series. One is a normal novel, DVD Extras Include: Murder. The other, believe it or not, is Twitterature: a novella published over Twitter in character as Mervyn Stone and republished on Nev Fountain's Wordpress account.

I've been reading the book of dead days by Marcus Sedgwick
and I've just been googling it to get the author name right and it has a sequel
called the long flight down so that has jumped almost to the top of my shopping list
