The Serpent of Venice by Christopher Moore. Only read 12 pages so far and I'm already laughing
I'm waiting for that, it's on my library hold list.
Its sitting next to me waiting for me to finish The Valhalla Prophecy (Andy McDermott). Currently have a rib/chest injury so laughing hurts so I'll have to be a bit patient.

I lost patience waiting for The long flight down the sequel to The Book of Dead Days,
to be delivered so I started Gaiman's ocean at the end of the lane today
guess what was waiting for me when I got back home
I think it posted by someone who didn't quite know how stamps work
it was covered in stamps a little like this illustration

no wonder it took so long to arrive

I'm reading a French book about a woman who's husband runs off to Africa and her bored, rich sister, who both cook up a scheme to write a book together. What can I say, the TV is still broken.

I just finished the Book Thief (Markus Zusak)
Did you like? It's one of my all-time favourites.

I'm reading a Jeeves & Wooster, always love PG Wodehouse. Then I'm gonna give The Game of Thrones series a go.
Oh coincidence, me too! Just finished Carry On Jeeves

Currently reading one of the latest Star Wars novels about Darth Maul pre-Episode 1. Still interesting, regardless of what Disney says about the EU canon. It's still real to me!

Oh, I'm definitely going to have to track this down. "Fool" had me in tears.

Wizard's Brew
Wizards Behaving Badly
Trust Me, I'm a Wizard

By Chris Naylor

On Kindle (sorry Pip!) at 90p each. On the strength of reading half the first one, I ordered the next two.

Very TP, with footnotes, and laugh out loud moments.

Wizards (shocker!), Dwarfs, Gnomes, Dragons, they have it all.

Very funny, and well worth the pennies spent, although he does tend to get a bit footnotie at times.

Just finished Christopher Moore's Serpent of Venice, a mashup of Othello and The Merchant of Venice featuring Pocket, the title character of Moore's King Lear mashup, Fool. I liked Serpent much better than Fool. You don't have to have read Shakespeare's plays to enjoy it, but it does help to have a basic familiarity with the plots.
