I've read a couple of interesting books in the past little while (as noted on my thread), ranging from the first volumes of the strange manga Durarara!!, the bizarre Japanese novel Paprika, and Murder on the Orient Express. Currently chipping away at a Doctor Who novel called The Sands of Time...

The Circle Sea
have just started on another of the 'Dresden Files' by Jim Butcher.

The series is about a wizard living in modern Chicago .
I wasn't too excited by the first one I read: Fool Moon, it's about werewolves
But thought I'd give the series another try.
This one is about Nightmare daemons.

Well, I've just started Game of Thrones as well. Never seen it, don't know anything about it, and I could do with a good long read. So far, so interesting.

Just finished the Percy Jackson series, which was entertaining.

Finished the latest Dresden Files and it was just as expected. Fun and fast! I've started on Charlaine Harris' new book, Midnight Crossroads. Kind of slow to get into, it's the first of a new series, but enjoyable so far.

I'm reading a LOT of Pratchett at the moment just in case I end up having to cover in Strangely Fascinating. I'm on a book a day currently
 I'm wandering the mean streets of Ankh-Morpork (the Compleat Guide) in my sleep atm - really channelling Vimes just now :p That and Turtle Recall although that's more use for the new Caroc deck I'm taking up with me for the Dicebox

MAD - don't get too manic although you could refine your research reading to guilds/societies and industries in A-M (or environs such as Holy Wood since Moving Pictures market was in A-M ;) ). I'm trying not to do too much on the railways though I daresay it'll creep into the equation as Pat and Chris are planning on doing a lot of ad libbing this time around... :shifty:

Amongst other things, I've started reading the graphic novel series The Invisibles, by Grant Morrison. Two volumes in, and, well, it's both repellent and strangely engrossing. Morrison's an extremely intelligent writer, but he's also a very morbid one...

Finished the two Dresden files that I have and haven't tracked down any more yet.
Have just started a factual account of the battle of Pegasus bridge by Stephen Ambrose.

So far so good.

Finished book 1 of Game of Thrones. Very good but that'll be enough of that for a bit.

Had a dreadful work day last weekend so read The Last Hero :romance-admire: with a glass of wine, or two. I love the picture of Carrot & Co. standing on the moon looking at the Discworld. Prob my favourite DW picture.

Am now reading The Railway Man by Eric Lomax, it's gonna be a great book.

Technically, Sister Jennifer, the book series is called A Song of Ice and Fire. Sorry, pedant reflex. :|

Anyway, I've all but finished The Invisibles, and I've also read DVD Extras Include: Murder by Nev Fountain.
