I've just finished A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. It was mostly good, but like the Appalachian trail itself, there were parts I felt were an unnecessary slog (but not many). But as Bill himself said in the book, it's a relief when you realise you don't have to do it all
Now I'm reading The Brenford Triangle, Robert Rankin.
Interesting that my last posting doubled up. The site hung for over a minute when I submitted the posting apparently not doing anything. However it obviously had a glitch for some reason. I'll stick to just reading it once though

I've been told this repeatadly.
Could be a good thing because sometimes going from film to book can alter how you visualise a lot of it.
Now i'm going in expecting a different experience to the film .
We'll see how that one goes.
