I have been meaning to read some of Moores books I will look out for them while I'm in the States later this year.
We have them here as well you know...
Yeah, but he'll want the original American versions because they have the correct spelling.

In American books I prefer the artwork,so I can put up with the funny spelling .
I have been in Boston where the security guards(note the correct spelling) at the convention centre dressed like paramilitary mp's,it was in for the Worldcon in 04 and pterry was a GOH,no smoking in the street or inside. Pity this years DWCon was not being held there it would be easier and cheaper to get there instead of Madison which from here by Virgin costs £1023 probably get to OZ DWCon cheaper.

Oh, you can't miss Madison! It's a much better place to have it than Boston. It's a great big earthy crunchy hippie city with lakes on all sides and it has a laisser-faire attitude toward the use of illegal narcotic substances and there's a bar every fifteen feet and the girls are all tall, blond and beautiful. And even if you're paying higher airface, the cost of hotel rooms and beer are much cheaper.

Besides, if you guys don't go, I'll be there all on my lonesome. :(

I don't smoke anything any more in fact others smoke make me cough, not that I'm anti smoking each to their own but it does screw me now,
but $1600 for the flight is making me think twice and the hotel room I have booked is $140 which is only $19 a night less than Reno hotel as I have arranged to go to Reno with my mates for the Worldcon. As for the tall blonde and beautiful gils they are not going to be interested in a short, long haired Scottish guy who is old enough to be their father, so it's a case of watch this space

I'm currently between books but the last books I read were Asleep and Awake by Wendy Raven McNair. Which are parts 1 and 2 of a trilogy that I'd describe as a well written fusion of Twilight and X-men with a dash of Harry Potter.

Staring Robert Harris , The Ghost.
Love his Roman stuff so we'll see.
Sharlene just read Pompeii by him, she thought it was very good indeed.
Thats one of my favourite books.
The missus is a Classics teacher and her speciality is Pompeii as well as being the subject for her masters thesis and she holds the book in very high regard as well.
Loved the Cicero books as well and can't wait for the third part to come out this year.

Readers Digest from 2008 or 2009  Can't remember the exact date but it is the issue that my oldest daughter gave to me with tickets to Robbie Williams Aussie Tour tucked into it for my birthday !!!!!!!!!

I can read one short article before my eyes dip into sleep when I get sleep lately and I know I am not "What happens next! WHat happens NEXT!"

Readers Digest is great sitting-on-the-toilet reading. The articles in there are just the right length.
