Folklore of the Discworld by PTerry and Jaqueline Simpson.

I must say it's an odd sensation reading a book co authored by someone you've volunteered with and got to know. She's really nice and funny.
I'll be reading that after Unseen Academicals, just got it on ebay the other day, awaiting delivery. Then I will be on to Pterry's other books before ISWM is out in paperback in September.

You're thinking of Sven Erikson and no it's got nothing to do with football. It's the last in a 12 - 13 book epic fantasy series.

I don't think Beckham has reached the point where he considers himself godlike

just finished reading wise mans fear the second book by Patrick Rothfuss in the kingkiller trilogy, very well written but considering it will be several years before he manages to finish the trilogy, it is a tad frustrating.

Wolfsangel by M D Lachlan.

It's all about Vikings, right of succesion, Gods that are clearly off thier rocker and what an average Viking wants from life! I've already met the witches (not a patch on Sit T).
Can't wait for the appearance of the were-wolf! The book quotes it as 'bloody' but other than a bit of a 'punch up' (5 deaths) when nicking a baby, there hasn't been much blood. Still reading though!
