Glee is great and Attack the Block is for sure better than those cowboys, one the best for the year!

Standard plot devices is what makes it good! It's Cowboys fighting Aliens!! It doesn't get much better than that!

This advertisement doesn't work for me. Sounds liek a really horrible movie.

Watched the DVD of Rango with my friend this evening. We missed it at the cinema, though we did see the trailer for it. It's a very good film, good story line & Johnny Depp is a brilliant Rango. It's also different, darker & not cuddly like most cartoons are, in fact most of the characters are rather ugly. There is a brilliant chase scene in it.

I saw it in a staff screening, so it was cool to just have, like, 30 of us just hang around and chat during the credits and not just sit there blankly waiting for something to happen.

Awesome! Definately one of the best of the Summer.

Just watched The Escapist - brilliant prison break film, fiilm set in the nick aren't may favourite genre, but for my money this is better than Shawshank.

Cool. It's a very little seen film, it is odd, would you recommend it to others? I liked it but it's a bit unsettling, isn't there a bit where he stabs that suited guy in the neck with a pencil or something?

I'm reading 'Dreamsongs' by George R.R. Martin at the moment, a collection of short stories written over the course of his career. Stumbled upon the great 'Sandkings' in there which inspired me to watch the (new) Outer Limits, since episode 1x01-1x02 were based on this story.

For those of you who don't know The Outer Limits: it's an anthology show like the Twilight Zone, but the focus is heavily on Sci-Fi and less on Fantasy/Horror. There's usually a twist ending too.
I'm planning to watch some more/all episodes out of nostalgia but this first was way, way worse than I remembered so I wonder how far I'll get. Might have been that I didn't like it much because the written story is so good and I read that one just earlier though

I thought Outer Limits did a good job at adaptation.
