I watched Insidious last night. It wasn't as frightening as I've heard people say it is, but it was a fairly good idea and the ending was alright.

I'm trying to start watching a horror film every night, from now on, during the week. I love them, (even when I don't even like them - like Insidious!) but barely watch any. So I decided it was time for a change!

I liked Insidious, Dotsie didn't. o_O

Have fun with the horror, for some cool ideas check out the October Horror thread just down the page. ;)

I watched Mr Poppers Penguins with my sister and the first thing I thought when he got them was "call the zoo right now and sell them" and my sister said "have a penguin braai/bbq". :p I felt like we were bad people.I'm supposed to think "aww he got them from his father" but we're just thinking about eating or getting money out of them. It was painfully sweet at times  but we laughed. ;)

Then I watched Thor

I was so glad when got banished  ,so he would change as a person because in the beginning he was really getting on my nerves and I didn't want him to be King. I was voting for Loki :( but then he got evil.
The Avengers sneak peek at the end looks cool. :)

Got dragged along to see the latest Twilight film by younger daughter this evening. Quite a few laughs from the audience, but not necessarily where the film-makers intended...

Meanwhile, hubby went off to watch John English Re-born. I think he preferred the first one. ;)

SpideyGirl, that picture is hilarious!

I watched Paranormal Activity and ended up quite disappointed. =[ I was hoping for some serious scares. But apart from the ghostly foot grabbing (which was too close to home for comfort!) nothing stood out.

DaveC, I'll head over to the October Horror thread for some ideas of what to watch tomorrow! =]

I'm not sure if this has been covered - but I would urge you all to steer clear of Contagion. It's approximately 106 minutes of misery, boredom and general grim. A lot of a-listers trying to carry a very limp plot indeed!

Possibly Emberella, think we had a 'Worse film ever' type thread thingy going on somewhere, it could be in there, thanks for the tip!

I liked it. Great soundtrack and I think a real epidemic would be grim, boring and full of misery. Not in my top films of thte year but didn't hate it. :)

We watched Battlefield Los Angeles this weekend...... ho hum. Though the teen loved it.

I hate movies that are filmed with hand held cameras... they aren't "real" they just make me feel ill.

Also endured Bridesmaids... hated it at first. I mean WHO would have girls like that for Bridesmaids? Then I thought about my own wedding.... ahhhhhhh the bestie who turned into a screaming witch control freak the day before the wedding..... ahhhhhh. Then I watched the scene on the plane where she mixes alcohol and relaxants    best part of the movie.  Ended up enjoying it.

The TV won't turn on tonight  Ohhhh noooooo....... this is not a good thing. ANd the kids Christmas summer break (eight weeks) starting next week.......
