KILDARE
I was fixin a mate of a mates computer and he had a pile of films saved on it which i borrowed as a payment of sorts. He had the 1955 edition of the Quatermass Experiment , Troll Hunter and Hobo with a Shotgun amongst others. Bit of weird viewing ahead for me

Machete was brilliant, have recently seen the fly for the first time and loved it. Most of my recent cinema trips have been to see rereleases Lion King, Jurassic park, Ghostbusters. New films I've seen were pretty poor tintin and an irish film called Sensation

It's been a while since I posted in this thread. In that time I've seen too much to list, but I was really impressed with Drive Angry. I don't remember the last time I watched a film so gloriously, unselfconsciously, deranged. Nic Cage was his usual insane self, Amber Heard was impressive as the crazy partner and William Fichtner completely stole the show (as usual). Recommended for anyone who loves a film that dials the craziness up to eleven. Makes Machete! look like an episode of Barnaby Jones.

On top of that, I finally saw Sylvain Chomet's The Illusionist (Shameful for an animation geek to admit it took this long). It was a delight from start to finish. A genuinely lovely film.

We have been reading about the Sand Creek Massacre recently, so we ordered a DVD of Soldier Blue.

I have seen the very censored version of this film on TV, but this was the original version and very difficult to watch the actual massacre part. I'm glad finally did see it though as I remember the fuss about it when it came out.

Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus

This film has everything - poor editing, terrible dialogue, worse acting, cheap CGI, montages people in laboratories pouring coloured liquids into test tubes, innappropriate Shakespear quotes, Debbie Gibson saying the "F" word (just so wrong), some very unusual turbulance -

- a little gem. I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to or dreading the sequels, Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus and Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, though my particular OCD means I'm gonna have to try them.
