Boy, do they all look young!!
Because they are.

Watched 2012 yesterday. Didn't want to watch it when it came out because I suspected it would be rubbish since The Day after tomorrow was already utter carp.
Turns out I was wrong. It was not only rubbish, it was an abysmal failure. Except for two or three funny scenes (which I could've had after about 2 pages of, say, Small Gods, too) this movie was silly, clichéd, boring, ridiculous and implausible.
It's a pity that an actor whom I like very much (John Cusack) was part of this tosh.
Really, I can't believe I wasted more than 2½ hours which would've better been spent with excavating my nose.
At least my girlfriend also found it bad - even though it was her idea to watch it.

Does anyone know if this movie was in 3D? Some scenes absolutely looked like they were in it just for that reason.

Seriously. Father Ted was great while this stuff is drivle. Its been shoved down our throats here since the 80s on the radio and has only gotten worse since. It only seems to be liked i th UK now while the irish hate it

I watched one episode out of curiosity and decided not to bother after that. ;)

I've only seen the one episode, the first of series 2 that was on at Christmas, because Mum and Dad like it and thought I would, I really didn't...not a patch on Father Ted. :liar:

Has it really been going that long???

It started as a radio show in ireland. My mates dad played one of the sons in the first incarnation of it. The film The Mammy with Angelica Heuston is based on the smae characters as this as well and theres even been three books published. Its going too long

Dotsie, I'm beginning to think you are the anti-me when it comes to films. ;)
You've found me! If we met, would we explode? o_O Or would we be arch nemeses, like in Unbreakable?

At the car boot sale today, I found a DVD of a 1937 movie called 'Moonlight Sonata'. It was brand new and only cost £1 and I just watched it.

The film is mainly a vehicle for the virtuoso pianist Ignace Jan Paderewski and features several pieces performed by him. The story is pretty straightforward but not at all bad and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
