This week a g/f gave me some movies to watch to give me head space.

Hugo: Nice story but nothing like what I expected. Bit disappointed I am.

Tin Tin: LOVED IT!!!! Oh joy. True to the books.

The Grey Zone: About Hungarians who assisted in the crematoriums in Nazi camps and one that revolted. Bad direction, good actors, great story, sad. The movie was missing good production values though.

The Artist: Good movie. Wow! Some amazing cameos. Took me back to the days Channel Ten used to show old black and white movies all through the night.

The Game Of Thrones series I was SO hesitant to watch this and sort of put it on to zone out to. Got hooked.

Several years ago I went to see the movie version of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and thought it was terrible. Yesterday i noticed that it was available to watch on the BBC iPlayer and I thought I'd give it a second go, as I was going through a bad time when I saw it the first time and maybe I wasn't being fair.

Nope - it's still terrible!

Spidey, I was soooo disappointed in that movie. Did end up with a crush on Kato too though. Spotted him in another movie on Netflix. Kung Fu Dunk. Kung Fu + Basketball. Wonder how bad that movie is?

Tony, I agree. That movie was beyond awful.

Author, loved Jumanji! I remember liking Big Fish, but can't remember much about it.

Can't bring myself to watch Green Hornet, I just know it will be full of the brown stuff.

Tony it was rubbish but it did have some funny bits in it, maybe would have been better if Adams had still been alive

Just finished tonight, Immortals it was Ok not as good as 300 though, but £2.60 well spent from the Library.

Couldn't get through Shoot 'em Up. Although I love Clive Owens. Found out after the fact that he was filming just 7 miles from here a couple years ago. Our librarian signed up to be an extra in the movie and got to see him!

We watched The Adventures of Tintin on Friday. Thought it was a fun adventure! The girls and I enjoyed it, hubby wasn't that impressed.

Saw Hunger Games & The Thing on the weekend, ( it was that kinda weekend). I enjoyed both. The Thing (1982) is probably my favourite horror/sci fi, whatever genre it is, film. It's had good reviews so I was keen to see. I think they did a good job fitting it all together. My only 'I wonder' with it is why they missed the opportunity to make a back story for the alien. Maybe it should stay a mystery though, I'm all for mysterious. The CG/animatronics were astounding & I'm glad actual Norwegians were cast.
