I watched Inkheart on tv... and the whole time I kept thinking that I would have loved it when I was 14, now I couldn't stop thinking of all the things they did wrong
I loved the books, film was awful (except for Paul Bettany, he was great! )
I didn't know there were books o_O
You didn't??? They're pretty famous... If you haven't already, read them. They're three of the best books of all time. Though the third book was a little confusing, probably because I was sleepy or had a sort-of-fever for half of the time I was reading it...

I read Inkheart and thought it was just ok. Enjoyed the movie more than the book, and that's rare! But, I do love Paul Bettany too, so that helped.

We watched The Secret of the Kells this weekend. Thought it was really well done. Visually, it was amazing!

I watched Thor yesterday, and can't help thinking that he's good-looking, good-natured and dumb like Caramon, and has a smaller, hated magician as a brother, although the similarities with Raistlin stop there because Loki is twisted, devious and a liar. Still I like him

Last week we, friend & I, saw We Bought A Zoo. It's the zoo virtually up the road from us here. The book was written by the owner Benjamin Mee, I have been to the zoo & have read the book, but the film rights were bought by an American company & they changed the setting to a place in America, with an American cast. It would have been better filmed here, but though nowhere near as good as the book & the plot they changed somewhat, it was still very watchable.

Last night me friend & I watched the first three episodes of The Forsythe Saga on DVD. I have the complete boxed set of the series. 1295 minutes. Bought from the BBC shop at a fraction of it's original price.
Black & White, they didn't have colour TV in 1967. That didn't matter, the lives of Soames, Jolly, Jo ( I loved Kenneth More) & the rest still gripped us. Amusement came with the flimsy sets as scenery moved when doors were opened or shut. This was the best they had & state of the art filming for it's time. Some actors/actresses shone through, you could tell they would go far, others were never seen again.
If you tried to do that series again it would cost a fortune to produce. It would have been lovely to see the ladies fashions of the time in colour though.
I am looking forward to watching the next episodes.

i have seen the wrath of the titans and it was a really good movie and i can really highly recommend it! it has a lot of action and a bit of a drama to it, a lot of father and son love so it is really somewhat touching to watch at the same time you can really feel the intensity at the parts where there is some action. it really is something great to watch especially for those who are fans of mythology as it portrays the characters in a modern kind of way

In Bruges. It was just on the edge for me - the blood and flesh and bits of human I mean :p But apart from that I thought it was rather good, liked the acting and Colin Farrel's accent
But how can you end a movie like this????
I had to google this because I had never heard of it. Saw the italian trailer. I think I should see this one day, either in english or in italian, since Fiennis has my fav dubber
