Watched Chronicle today. Didn't like it :p
I saw that on the plane. I thought it was a bit crap. Sort of Jackass meets Heroes.

I also saw John Carter, which was fun but kind of forgettable and the best of all was Pixar's 'Up', which I loved.

I remember at the cinema, 15 minutes into that movie I was blubbing. My son turned to me and said, 'Are you crying already?!' The amazing thing though, a random hand reached over the seat and passed me a couple of tissues.

I finally got to see Hugo. I cried in that as well. Very good movie.

well, what do you think kids would do at first if they got super powers? Immediately go into crime fighting? that was only a small part of the first half of the movie anyway. Andrew was such a tragic villain. i felt kinda bad for him actually (and the kid playing him did a good job)

To be fair, I wasn't in the best mood for watching movies on a tiny screen on a plane. But I find teenagers annoying anyway - teenagers with superpowers are something else.

Finally got to see Avengers! Hubby got a couple days off on comp time for having to spend over a week in DC, so we got to go out and have an actual date, movie and lunch, while the girls were in school. Opted to try 3D for the first time. Kind of fun, but also somewhat distracting and not nearly as impressive as we were expecting. It wasn't worth the extra money. Thought the movie was a lot of fun! Really enjoyed it. Thought the new Bruce Banner was pretty good, but Ed Norton would have been so much better, especially in scenes where he interacted with Tony Stark. And, even though we saw the earliest showing, with only 3 other people in the theater, it totally reconfirmed our preference for waiting for DVD and watching movies at home on our own big screen.

Unless you're talking Imax, 3D isn't worth it. its nice, but meh. But then again IMAX is worth it regardless of 3D or not. but that's me. As a kid watching Captain EO was fun though
