I watched The Golden Compass last night. I have not read any of the books and felt (especially during the first hour) that a lot must have been cut out. But I did enjoy it and thought the effects were excellent.
I'm guessing that there's not likely to be a sequel in the near future. I read somewhere that the Catholic church were not happy about the first one. To me that's an excellent reason to make another one. :twisted:
