I love Charlie Brooker! He thinks like I do.

Thanks for the recommendation, SJ! The Doctor Blake series is being shown daily on the BBC and at quite an early time slot considering some of the gore in there.

finished watching Anohanna and found my self crying through every episode and this is the second time I've watched this and still I ended up in tears
and started watching Kingdom Hospital
I loved Kingdom Hospital. One of my favorite Stephen King.... Things. And i'm not the biggest King fan. I think the long format story works for him. All the other tv stuff of his, never did much for me.

Maybe it works cause it's not based on a book. dunno.

I did find it odd though it features a character that seemed to keep showing up in things around the time it came out. Seeing the same character show up in this, Stargate SG1 AND Yu-Gi-Oh all at the same time was very strange.

I watch a really good film on the iPlayer, called "Oranges and Sunshine". Very powerful story set in the UK and Australia during the 80s and how hundreds of thousands of children in care home in Britain were shipped to Australia where they were often treated no better than slaves. Based on a true story and well worth a look.
