 After reading the stuff on American Gods that you posted I saw this and read American Gods gag reel. I thought, gag reel already? Who is she? Is that Shadow? Was that Ibis & Jacquel? Where is this?

Oh dear.

I'm cool now though. That's a show about spy's.

I tried really hard to enjoy I Frankenstein yesterday but I don't know if it was a really bad copy or was too late at night to start watching films but I couldn't get into it or follow the plot but I had to give up halfway through I might try again in a few months

also I saw The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and although I usually enjoy this type of film I think I'm too old for this film shame though it looked really good from the trailer I think the main problem was too many subplots
including the incestuous subplot I could really do without that one

Gravity.

Watch it. Trust me.

If it doesn't win a crapload of awards I will be sorely disappointed.

and is it just me, or were there only like, 5 shots in the entire film? I barely remember seeing any cuts at all. The first one i remember seeing was something like 10 minutes into it.

I've been watching more episodes of Iron Chef and QI. It's hard to watch the former at times when live animals are involved, even if they're lobster or crayfish. I'm no vegetarian, nor do I intend to become one, but I reckon you should make sure the animal is dead before cooking it. Still entertaining besides that point, though. And QI...it's helped cheer me up immensely over the past little while.

QI is one of my cures for the doldrums as well.

Ernest & Celestine looks great :)

I've been watching The Lakes with Rory McGrath. A natural wonder alright, the lake district not Rory.

I watched the first episode of this. Mainly because it has Tamsin Greig in it. Sad but very good telly.

Watched Beowulf last night, the CGI version from 2007 as I found the DVD in the charity shop for 99p. Not bad as something to watch but hopelessly inaccurate to the original story and the fact it is completely CGI makes it look more like a video game than a film. As Neil Gaiman is credited as main writer and one of the executive producers I was hoping for a script closer to the original
