Now that I'm less depressed, I'll say that I watched an episode of The Avengers, called The Bird Who Knew Too Much. My first full episode of The Avengers, and it was bloody weird. o_O

Adam Adamant Lives!, eh? I'm annoyed at how the YouTube uploader called it the pilot. There was a pilot, but save for the 1902 sequences in A Vintage Year for Scoundrels, nothing of it exists any more.

One wonders whether Mike Myers ever watched Adam Adamant Lives!, and got some ideas for Austin Powers...

Started watching the new Cosmos (second ep airs tomorrow). My god is that a gorgeous series. Alan silvestri does the music. Seth MacFarlene and Brannon Braga produce. The effects are just, my god. And Niel DeGrasse Tyson is perfect as the host (there is even a little personal moment he has at the end of the first ep talking about meeting Carl Sagan. a very touching story.) and it pulls no punches either. especially when talking about the history of space science.

I saw a hunting in Connecticut filmed before The Haunting in Connecticut and based on the same apparent true events today and I enjoyed it very much a welcome bonus since I didn't know it was in the box set I brought yesterday I've also started to watch The Haunting in Connecticut but right now I'm too tired to fully enjoy it I'll continue to watch it tomorrow when I can process it properly

I got myself a membership for my local cinema. Can see as many movies as I like :p ( which means I also see a lot more bad movies. Need to get my money's worth out of it :p)

Last movie I saw was Need for Speed which was awful. However, every month our cinema organises a BBB night (Beer, burgers and blockbusters) And this month it was Need for Speed, so I had to go ;)

The second episode of Cosmos was pretty sweet. It was about evolution And my god did they pull no punches.

Also watched Walking With Dinosaurs. Gorgeous film, Beautiful animation, great live action scenery, great music. But the voice acting ruined it. John Liguizamo wasn't so bad as the narrator, but the characters..... And it wasn't so much that the acting itself was bad, it was that it all felt tacked on. The characters mouths don't move and they never act like anything other then animals. Like it wasn't in the original movie and they added it later.

I think that's the intended reponse
And seeing Tim Curry as Frank N Furter...well, lemme put it this way. Just about every other role I've seen him in, even as sadistic villains or killer clowns or smarmy POSes or Nigel Thornberry... they are normal by comparison.
