We've recently seen X-Men Days of Future Past, really enjoyed it. And Transformers: Age of Extinction. Not all that impressed. In fact, missed the last 20 minutes because I couldn't keep my eyes open.

I'm keen to see the next X-Men movie.

I've started watching Bare-Faced Cheek. It's a french tv show about 2 guys who go trekking together. They start each journey naked and depend on the hospitality and generosity of people they meet along the way.

They are consummate optimists.

I guess a little bit but they're not naked for long. They usually make some clothes from the environment then wander into the next town and start bartering, usually work in exchange for conventional clothes, then food, transport etc. It's amazing how much people are willing to help them. One episode they travel from the middle of France to Brittany to meet a druid. It's a little odd but good.

the yank accent sounded stupid on anthony head  the rest was good though, i watched legion last week so i was right up there with the storyline
You should have heard Kevin Whately's in 'Gypsy' (at the theatre) when his Geordie accent would occasionally break through halfway through a sentence or word (I think he was trying to speak like a New Yorker?). It didn't stop him and the cast getting a standing ovation though.

I really like those 2 remakes.

Watched the first couple of episodes of S5 The Walking Dead, not too shabby. There's a few actors from The Wire in it now I noticed.

We had a Black Books-athon recently

first couple of episodes of S5 The Walking Dead is pretty f**ked up I like it,
the walking dead is finally getting good again I hope
Saw the pilot episode of constantine and I have to say it's better than I thought it would be
watching the second episode tonight if all goes well
Grimm's back on from what I've seen I haven't really formed an opinion about it yet it feels slightly slower paced than the opening of the last couple of seasons

Detectorists - 6 part series just finished on BBC4 - delightful from start to finish. It starred Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones and was about a group of metal detectoring geeks in rural England. Doesn't sound too promising but I loved it.

Expendables 3 - old men playing with guns and blowing things up; Sly and the crew take on a Mel Gibson small army, lots of whizz bang crash and death toll must be near a thousand, but strangely scarce a drop of blood on screen, all good stuff shows how much fun war can be. I guess they'll keep making them until they stop making money - and I'll keep watching them while they do...

That was superb! The two main characters were brilliant in an understated funny way. The writing was fantastic.
