Weird little film called Miss Meadows. Katie Holmes plays a prim and proper schoolteacher who's somewhat damaged. They use the word Vigilante in the movie and blurb but she's not really, she just defends herself. Short and sweet.
Hubby decided he wanted to start watching Supernatural after I finished watching season 9. So, we went all the way back to the first episode and he's really enjoying it. Really threw me to see how young they were and how different even their voices were!
Over the last week we've seen Transcendence and The Monuments Men. Transcendence was not what we were expecting, but was very good. The Monuments Men was very good as well, made me a little teary, but also had some parts that made me laugh.
I haven't actually seen this as it's a podcast that they have been serialising on BBC Radio. Serial.
This is a real life investigation into the murder of a young woman back in 1999. Her ex boyfriend was sentenced for the murder, but he has always insisted that he didn't do it.
This started to be broadcast (on the internet) in October and is still ongoing. It has been such a hit that it has had over 5,000,000 downloads. I am completely hooked.
I've just got back from watching The Hobbit - The Battle of Five Armies. Great film and some of the best battle scenes I've seen, including the most unique battering ram ever. It's very difficult not to include spoilers so I will leave it at that.
At home I've been revisiting the first 2 series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet for the first time since their original airing in the early 80s. It's daughter's first viewing and she's hooked! They just don't make sitcoms of that quality any more.
Went with a group to see the film, "Into the Woods", based loosely on the play. I'd seen the play years ago, so I was forewarned, the others apparently hadn't. If I'd known I'd have suggested we watch Hogfather. Maybe next year.
Just come back from watching the latest Hobbit, I did enjoy it darker than the other two, battle scene a bit long but I still enjoyed it, all in all a good time was had I will wait for the extended version of the DVD to match my LOTR one.
