What have you seen recently? 4

[Catch-up]

Watched the second season of Umbrella Academy. Enjoyed it a lot, but not as much as the first season.

Almost finished that, it's getting better on Ep.8 was not that keen on the first two.

I finally got around to watching Kevin Smith's "Clerks" which was great fun. I also watched Alien Covenant for the first time. Really enjoyed this one. Glad that Ridley Scott got to make another episode.

Despite or even because of its flaws I love the view askewniverse
Dogma being my favourite Clerks 2 my least but that film at least has a good ending

I just watched Bill and Ted Face the Music.
Its awful but in a fun self aware way

I just saw this. Explains World War 1 in about 2 minutes or two, and very catchy also.

Still not as good as this, though.

I watched Staged on Netflix with David Tennant and Michael Sheen. Absolutely brilliant and very funny

It's been one of my favourite productions so far this year. Episode 3, 'Who the f*** is Michael Sheen', literally caused me to spit my coffee out when we found out who the Sam they were referring to was.

Yeah there were some great cameos. Peed myself laughing when Michael Sheen explained they were in a film together. Brilliant.

I just watched the Korean, multi-Oscar winning "Parasite" and I highly recommend it. There were some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments as well a far deeper look at privilege v poverty.

Haven't seen it yet, but "Staged" is coming to Aussie TV!!!!! *jumps up and down* It's so rare that BBC stuff comes down here, no wonder I'm as excited as a really excited person who's got a really exciting reason to be excited.

Speaking of David Tennant, I recently finished watching W1A, a hilarious satire of the BBC that is clearly influenced by Yes, Minister, The Office and The Fall and Rise of Reginal Perrin. Tennant was the narrator for the series and his rapid-fire voiceovers are a highlight.

That was back when Charlie Kaufman made great films. His newest one, I'm Thinking of Ending Things, is two hours of naval-gazing, self-indulgent claptrap.

So I watched my first episode of "Staged" last night. (I think it was the 3rd one, i.e. "Who the F*** is Michael Sheen?"). Quite amusing.

I just finished watching Season One of Picard. I was a bit bummed that it was only nine episodes, but I did enjoy it a lot.
