I have been catching up on Cadfael on TV. Love the books, but they have been chopped about and characters reassigned for TV. I'm still enjoying them though.

Seen the Red Dwarf and Dr Who as well.

On ITV3 there are quite a few reruns of 70's and 80's series at the moment, real old clunkers like The Champions, The Professionals, etc! Great for a nostalgia fest!

Rarely go to the movies as I have mobilty issues, as well as money issues, (it's a pain being a pensioner, you don't benefit from low interest rates as mortgages paid off, but you suffer from the Gas, Electricity and food price rises!)

Cheers, Vena

We watched Steel Magnolias last night. It's a great movie but quite remarkable for the roller-coaster of emotions near the end. You go from utter misery to laughing your head off in the space of about two minutes - and somehow the funny bits are even funnier for that.

Watched Hellboy the other day. It was ok, but am not going to see it again and again and again. And what is the deal with demons and tentacles?? Are they the only accessories they have in hell or something??

Well technically I haven't seen it yet  but just got my cinema tickets for X MEN Origins (Wolverine) I'm sooo excited!!

I LOVE X Men and I think the big screen adaption is really good . Wolverine is my fave ,has been since my comic reading days and Hugh Jackman plays it well

I have Hellboy II waiting in my dvd player - looking forward to it.

T'other day I watched Doomsday for the first time - obviously a bigger budget for Marshall giving him a bigger canvas on which to paint, and he doesn't quite make it - sprawling and incoherent compared to the compact neatness of his first two, this was nonetheless enjoyable and spiced with some nice touches of humour.

Other than that I am also a recent devotee of The Wire - being a big fan of The Sopranos I love the overarching and interlinked plotlines.
