Umm.... and then I went and watched again again

But the last time was on IMAX so that's kind of an excuse, no?

I keep seeing Star Trek video's at car boot sales. Should I actually buy any next time & if so, which ones?
Don't bother with the first one (The Motion Picture) or the fifth one (Final Frontier. They're both rubbish. Two is the best (The Wrath of Khan), and you'll need to watch three (The Search for Spock) as it bridges two & the excellent four (The Voyage Home). Six is also brilliant (The Undiscovered Country). The next four are all based on the Next Generation crew, & I like them all, although none of them really stands out (First Contact was quite popular).

If they're videos of the series, most people like The Next Generation or Deep Space 9 (both are best after about season three). I of course love the original series (seasons one & two are best, season three's a bit dodgy).

Hope you find something you like!

It's mostly true that the even numbers are good & the odd are bad (for the first six at least). But number 11 is excellent

Uhura's dance might be worth watching it for, if you like that sort of thing!

But then switch it off. Trust me on this ;)

Well - I went and saw Star Trek and the housemate (who had to chauffeur me there) actually watched it the whole way through without falling asleep once!

Loved it - although I'm beginning to get a little miffed that CGI these days is, despite looking brilliant, getting to look quite 'samey'. I suppose that's 'cos of saturation deployment in TV ads as well as movie and games? But at least the film didn't rely on the effects most of the time and I thought the screenwriters and actors did an excellent job - although

Spoiler gap

Spock getting snogged very thoroughly by Uhuru was disturbingly kinky despite his rather passive reception (although maybe for Vulcans that's bouncing off the walls? Great eyebrow work from Mr Quinto anyway....... )

Thank you Dotsie. I see both feature films & the series. I'll write down the ones you recommended & look out for those. :)

Spoilers!!! New Trek Movie.....

You have been warned.................

New Star Trek Movie is the best yet but be warned it is a reboot, in some ways, of the Original series and if you know your Trek History it will be confusing!

Alternate Universe or time line....new directions for The Federation and some of the shows peoples!

Well worth watching..... :)

Saw Star Trek - loved it! Also rented New In Town, kind of cute, not as funny as I'd hoped; and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, very sad and depressing, different than I expected.
