A Serious Man

Some time ago , I've seen a great black comedy , directed by Coen Brothers called "A Serious Man " . Really good plot , but reading what is it about , you can say it's boring , cos nothing special happens . Though some scenes are killing like reapeted phrase : "Sy Abelman?" ( people who saw that movie will know what I mean), or the motive with dreams of the main character , what causes that on the end you don't know if it's his dream , or not . I really recommend it . Anyone who has the ability to see "A Serious Man" , should see it. Anyone saw that?
:)

I have a tower of DVD's from the last year waiting for me to watch in the holidays, and "A Serious Man" is among them. But since you liked it so much, maybe it'll be the next one, tomorrow... oh, no, not tomorrow, 'cause there's soccer (Netherlands-Brasil, verrrry important ;) ), than saturday...
Great you want to watch that ! And listen to what Rabbies say when they get annoyed

The Coens are geniuses. Apart from their re-imagining of The Ladykillers o_O

With The Ladykillers , you are right . Nothing beats the movie from 1955, with Alec Guiness and Peter Sellers ( which were geniuses ) . The Coens' remake had one good point: Tom Hanks .

I've just started with the second season of Merlin. I don't have BBC myself at home in Hungary (I do have BBC world, but that's not really what I need...), so my uncle recorded the season for me (he and my aunt are both huge Merlin-fans  ), and I finally get to see it! I got to the first three episodes this afternoon... 8)
Thing is, I've read some Arthur-books, and did a lot of research, 'cause I find the story interesting, and the whole is just so sad and mean... That's why I like the BBC interpretation. You almost believe, that Merlin has a chance to love, and Arthur and

, and that Morgana is quite OK... I like it much better than what's written in history-books. And, considerd that people even doubt that King Arthur ever existed, it's easier to believe just a little bit of it...

If you want to read a really great Arthur series, check out Bernard Cornwell's 'Warlord' Trilogy.

I've just watched 'Gangs of New York' - which was really interesting as Sharlene and I have recently been reading about the early days of the city and the corruption and violence that went on there. :)

I enjoyed Stephen Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle 8)

I'm watching re-runs of Doctor Who, series 4, at the moment and I've decided that Catherine Tate (Donna Noble) is a better actor than comedian. ;) *sits back and waits for screams of outrage from Catherine Tate fans*

THE LAST AIRBENDER!! I was a huge fan of the animation-series already, and I couldn't wait for the movie, but finally, he is here! Sadly, it's only one and a half hour, and they left out a lot of adventures which'd have been fun to watch, but I think it was not so bad... maybe not a verrrry interesting movie if you don't know the background-story, but still...

Saw 'I Love You Philip Morris' over the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it! It has all kinds of things going on that are really, really morally wrong (not talking about the whole gay theme, I'm fine with that :)) but it had me laughing all the way through.
