I watched Evil dead I, II and Brain-Dead the early Peter Jackson movie.
I loved the evil dead movies (Bruce Campbell is awesome) and Brain-Dead was    probably the most WTF thing I have ever seen. And on Sunday I also went too see Machete in the cinema. I loved it. Rodriquez is one of my favorite directors ever!

mC - I missed the last series somehow (this is series 3 isn't it?). Anyway I watched the one on Saturday and it was pretty good (mainly 'cos the dragon's got out of that stupid cave) so I expect I'll start watching again ;)

Morganna's back with a vengeance and a big sister (Emelia Fox is brilliant as Morgause - Queen of Air and Darkness in classic Arthurian legend) and consequently King Uther is in big doo-doo with Merlin, Gaius and Guinevere getting progressively suspicious and Arthur predictably clueless about Morganna...

and there I'll stop in case of really big spoilers

I saw the truly awful 'MacGruber' yesterday. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I love the Evil Dead movies! I did see Braindead in my teens, I know we enjoyed it for it's gory laughs. Only things I really remember from it are the ratmonkey from the start, the huge creature at the end, the zombie baby getting beaten up and the famous lawnmower scene. That last one's got me smiling right now thinking about it :)

 Have you seen Bad Taste by Peter Jackson? That's just crazy.
Love Bad Taste!

My university dissertation was on how Peter jackson's early movies affected how he made The Lord of the Rings. Great fun to write.
Heavenly Creatures is well worth checking out as well. ;)
Heavenly Creatures is great! That and Lovely Bones are the only ones of his that I don't have on dvd. Prefered the book of Lovely Bones so in no rush there and Heavenly Creatures is hard to come by.
