I watched Machete! last night. It's completely mental, but in a good way. I've also seen a fairly effective little made for TV chiller called The Messengers, which my mate lent me on DVD. ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425430/ ) If it pops up on the telly it's worth a look, but I wouldn't recommend you spend money on the DVD.

Telly-wise, I've been devouring the first three series of The Big Bang Theory (on DVD, yes, but it is a telly show) and enjoying it far more than I thought I would and, thanks to the miracle that is Sky+, This is England '86, which is utterly brilliant. I never get sick of watching the stuff that Shane Meadows makes.

I watched The Little Mermaid.
When I was 6, I never realized how silly Ariel was.
She runs away from home, signs a contract without reading it, then marries Eric after knowing him for 4 or 5 days. All when she's 16.

I've got "Poor Unfortunate Souls" stuck in my head now.

I haven't seen The Messengers but it wan't made for TV, we had it at the cinema I work at back in 2007. Heard it was quite good, though, and will catch it next time it's on!

Went to see Despicable Me at the weekend.
Started a little slow but got really funny and overall was very enjoyable.
Saw that in 3D over the weekend, it was really good
Returning from the short ad break above ,
Sadly didn't see it in 3D as the time didn't suit but still was good in 2D.
Might see it again just to compare

Watched the pilot but missed the last bit due to visitors.
I've set aside a few hours for the weekend to get a good run at it.
