The "wax on/wax off" made me want to slap the old man.
:(

I watched "Sky High" yesterday. I haven't watched it since it was in theatres 5 years ago, and I missed lots of the jokes.
In sidekick class, they learn to fill in the blanks for "Holy ___, ___man!"
Yay Sky High! Warren Peace soon to be seen as Captain America's sidekick Bucky

Ahh, that was a surprisingly good film, shame it got kind of ignored.

Saw Megamind yersterday, it's a better spoof than I expected, certainly better than Despicable Me. (Will Ferrel actually didn't act that much like Will Ferrel which helped)

Skyline. A pretty effective b-movie, ramped up to 11. The first part of a trilogy, apparently, so hopefully the proposed sequels will be equally enjoyable.

We also watched Get Him to the Greek, which was disappointing to say the least, as well as a marathon of the late Chris Farley's films Tommy Boy, Black Sheep and Beverly Hills Ninja. His comedies were certainly loud and dumb, but never mean spirited or obnoxious like quite a lot of films in the current comedy trend. Those of you who haven't heard of him, think of him as a forerunner to Jack Black, with a greater emphasis on physical comedy and less profanity.

Monsters! Everyone has to watch Monsters!
MONSTERS???? WHERE????
*checks under the bed*
it's OK, they landed near the America/Mexico border.
They always DO.... Guess thats why I have always liked Dr Who... spaceships over London looks so much better.
At least in the film they don't do flashes to other parts of the globe :) (Dr Who, most other invasion flicks)

It is just a romance that happens to have a background dotted with giants beasts. Really believeably done and made low budget with a cast a nd crew of four using locals as extras with 20 mins notice.

it's a must watch.
