Started watching 'Letters to Juliet' but luckily even my wife got bored with it after half an hour.
We saw a trailer for it at the movies some time ago and it was one of those were you've pretty much seen the movie already watching the trailer.

I still feel guilty not watching the last hour though. It's just not proper.
Don't feel guilty.
They should feel awful unleashimg that crap on the world.
Luckily I didn't have to have watch that

That's the thing. Nowadays, I rarely go to the cinemas for a variety of reasons:

1. Tickets are blood expensive.

2. What do you get for your money? Big screen and deafening noise? And watching with morons who talk during the movie? (I reckon that talking loudly during a movie should be a capital offence) Whoopee. The prices tickets are now, they should throw in some bloody popcorn and Coke for free.

3. I can get a DVD maybe some months after the movie comes out for perhaps twice the price of a movie ticket, and yet, I can watch it how many times I want. With subtitles and special features to boot!

These days, I'll be lucky if I decide to go to the cinema more than three times a year. This year, as I mentioned, I watched Alice in Wonderland, Let Me In, Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance, and Tron Legacy. Last year...I remember watching Watchmen, but I cannot remember offhand what else I watched in 2009. Gimme a sec...

Ah, yes. District 9. Very hard film to watch, left a bad taste in the mouth, but very damn good.

And in 2008? Well, The Dark Knight, Quantum of Solace, Iron Man and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Just had 'The Other Guys' on in the background while doing some routine work. I'm not a big fan of Will Ferrell although I still end up watching all his movies (highpoint: Anchorman). It's like car crashes, can't look away and you end up covered in blood and traumatized.

I guess I kind of like the movie this time. The opening scenes were good, over-the-top. Then we get to the main characters come in, the plot gets on it way and it all sagged a bit. It wasn't bad, but not recommending it to anyone and I'm pretty sure I'll have forgotten ever seeing it in about 2 months.

Still hoping Steve Coogan will become funny again some day.

I rarely go to the movies. The teen only wants to go with the teens girlfriends.. and the child only wants to see Myley Cyrus or Barbie. and when I don't have the kids the last thing I want to do is to PAY to sit in a dark room..... I try to do that WHEN I have the kids but they keep getting in.... Though some movies NEED the big screen so last theatre movie I saw on the big screen was Inception and loved it.

We try to go to the movies together once a month as a date night kind of thing, although we usually go on Sunday afternoon since it's less crowded and easier to drop the kid off at Grandma's.
I love the cinema. I watch movies differently there, with fewer distractions than at home. But with the prices these days you've really got to pick your movies. I used to go about 2 times a week during college, now it's once a month, if that.

I saw a whole bunch of films on the plane, but Inception stood out as being the biggest let-down. The special effects were good, but I felt that even Leo knew he was talking cobblers for 2 hours.

I have always wondered... have they ever showed "Snakes On A Plane" ON a plane?

just watched tron legacy and the reviews are right the special affects are brilliant but if you can find a plot i will be amazed
Compared to the original, the plot of Tron: Legacy is a vast improvement. And when I say vast improvement, I mean it.

Although I love Galaxy Quest, I also really like The Santa Clause  So I don't find him as annoying as you.

Arnie in Predators, where was he? o_O I watched it on the plane last week, but I don't remember seeing him.

Yes that was Ok but just a cameo appearance by Arnie, suppose he was limited to which he could do due to him being the governor of California.
And a cameo in Predators ;) But I don't remember where..
