The ending ruined the whole film.

The worst piece of over advertised crap I have ever seen was 2012, terrible, waited ages for it and couldnt manage to see it in one go.
The Neutrinos are mutating.
Seriously rubbish.
Whole film pained me.
The thought of it pains me.
It even makes Day after tomorrow look good.
Agree.

The part when the subway train flies over their airplane.
The airplane flying through the pyroclastic cloud.
Their destination moving ( 4000miles I think)to exactly where their fuel runs out because Hawaii had gone and they couldn't refuel.
All the last split second escapes
The only good part was where woody gets blown up by yellowstone.

I read a comment on IMDB; At least if the world ends in 2012 it will take every copy of 2012 with it.

Fair analysis.

Its always a good clue when a film is ridiculously over advertised.
I am legend anyone.
I think that when they over advertise a film which turns out to be utterly crap, then they should pay a fine for the same amount as the advertising costs.
When I'm doing consulting I get paid about £60 an hour depending what it is, that film company wasted alot of my time, I wish I could charge them.

A freind from Finland explained that under WW2 the germans wanted to know the names of every hill and small lake, which the Finns had never named. So out in the forest where they live there are hills called Dick mountain or C-word lake on the German maps.

I just watched 'Men Who Stare At Goats' - hysterical.
I already knew the story so I was expecting a great film, but I found it unwatchable. One of only three films (I think) I didn't bother to finish (the other two were Hostel and Transformers 2).

As a mapper i well believe this. Terry actually has a few footnotes on similar stuff like mountains called your finger you fool etc.

Over here the goverment is trying to force the providers to keep records longer than 2 weeks so they can catch people downloading.

A film that I thought was good for the first bit then got totally destroyed at the end. Skyline, it was so bad at the end that I deleted it from my computer.
i dont download i just stream them, idont know if that makes any difference tho

Yeah really good. Pompeii is ok as well. Then there is Spartacus, like rome mixed with soft porn.
Just seen pillars of the earth, its based on a Ken Follet book, thats good aswell.
Wasn't as big a fan of Spartacus.
Plot and characters just weren't as good as rome.
Read the book Pillars of earth and the follow up 'world without end'
Both fantastic books and the series was quite good as well.

Totally agree that Spartacus was not as good as the others, it was a bit cheesy and over done.

Is there a series based on world without end? Jorun (the mrs) loved pillars of the earth.
Have you read Hornet flight by Ken Follet? its about the Danish underground during ww2, read it a few years ago and it was pretty good if I remember.
